Free Memory Loss Screenings 10/21/2009 1:35:20 PM | Summa News Release Are you concerned that your older loved one is growing increasingly forgetful? advertisement Held in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Summa's staff will screen those who may be at risk for dementia or Alzheimer's disease. The brief screening involves a series of questions and activities to test memory and thinking abilities. Registration is required. If you notice changes in personality, mood or behavior, please call 800-23-SUMMA to schedule a screening for yourself or a loved one. "Forgetfulness is common at any age, but there are certain signs that may indicate a more serious problem," said Dr. Maryjo Cleveland, medical director of the Summa Center for Senior Health. "If you notice that your loved one has difficulty completing familiar tasks, memory changes that disrupt daily life or new problems with speaking or writing, then you should consider having them screened by a physician."
