Margot Fassler, the new Keough-Hesburgh Professor of Music History and Liturgy at the University of Notre Dame, has most recently published a book on the structure of medieval Christian communities and the centrality of liturgy and liturgical arts called The Virgin of Chartres: Making History through Liturgy and Arts (Yale University Press, 2010) and a second edition of her award-winning Gothic Song (Notre Dame, 2011).
