Get your teammates ready, shoes shined, and feet bandaged...
 
It's time to sign up for
 
The 8th Annual
Walk a Mile In Her Shoes
 
taking place at 5pm on April 26th
 at Lock 3 Park in beautiful Akron, Ohio!
 
 This year, we will be using the First Giving fundraising website in some exciting new ways! 
By clicking here, you will be taken to our First Giving event page!  From there, simply click the “Join now” button, and you’re on your way.  Here are some handy directions and explanations: 
 
  • When you click the “Join now” button, you will be prompted to begin setting up your own personal fundraising page.  Give them your name, email, and address. 
Once you have started your own fundraising page, you will be able to:
  • start or join a team
  • add pictures, as well as a personal and team bio
  • send a link for people to join your team or donate money to you
  • link your fundraising page through your social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • compete with other teams in fundraising to win our top prize, the Golden Shoe Award!
 We had 40 teams last year (our most ever), and we hope to smash that record!  Remember, when trying to get people to join your team, it is not required that they wear any particular shoe.  Though the theme is for men to wear women's shoes during the march, we want all parts of our community represented.  Simply by coming and raising awareness (and hopefully some money), this event will be a huge success!
 
Awards will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place fundraisers!  There will also be a new prize this year: 
1st place rookie team!
