The annual rankings are determined by the number of new and expanded business facility projects in each state and other factors including transportation infrastructure, existing work force skills and state and local taxes.

North Carolina was ranked No. 1, followed in order by Texas, Virginia, Ohio and Tennessee.

Site Selection magazine is an economic development publication.

Can anyone tell me how this state went from the bottom 3 to the top 4 in business climate in 2 1/2 years? We have the legislature and executive branch at odds with each other and I do not believe anything can be done and now this dramatic change over? We are one of the top 10 in unemployment, Akron is one of the hardest hit cities, stock market in bad shape, U.S. dollar is tanking, high oil/gas prices and gold is out of sight.
