The Beacon Journal reports that officials with Hendrickson International Trailer Suspension Systems say the plant will be closing due to slow business.

The plant has been in business since 1987 in the 2000 block of Industrial Place SE.

Employees were notified about this week.  Other plants throughout the country will pick up the manufacturing work left behind by Canton's closing.
