The Board of Directors has elected Richard J. Kramer as Chief Operating Officer of Goodyear, reporting to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert Keegan.

 

The new role is in addition to Kramer's current position as head of the North American Tire Group until a successor is found.

 

The last two CEOs of Goodyear, Keegan and Sam Gibara, also held the position of COO before being promoted.

 

The 45-year old Kramer is a Cleveland native. He attended college at John Carroll University.
