I never thought I would like reality television.  Then I saw Survivor: The Australian Outback and I was hooked.  Since then I have seen countless reality shows and continue to sit in front of the screen waiting to see what move everyday people will make in extraordinary situations.  My fandom of reality television brought me to many events, meeting past competitors.  Soon after, I landed a job as a writer for RealityTVMagazine.com.  I have represented them at several live Survivor finales since December of 2006.

  MULTIMEDIA Abdul Is Outta Here!

OK.  Enough is enough.  We know that Paula Abdul isn't returning to American Idol.  Get over it.

Instead, her vacated seat will be filled by other big-shot celebrities this season who are scraping the surface for all the publicity they can get from Idol.  Smart.

But will the show feel the same?  Likely not.  But to be honest, I truly don't care.  Without question, the true heart behind the show is Simon Cowell.  Had he left I think we'd be looking at a whole different situation and Idol would go into reality TV cardiac arrest.

But losing Paula, while it's sad for fans, it's not going to change the true reason behind the show.  Isn't it all about finding the next big singer?

Or is it because we can't wait to hear what Simon has to say?  I'll bet on the latter.

I will certainly miss hearing Paula's pointless rants where she obviously has no idea what is taking place.  Anybody recall the moment when she criticized Jason Castro for two performances after he had only sang once?

Priceless.

WATCH that moment when Paula screwed up her critique:

Even though the hilarity will be brought down a tad without Paula, I think we will all survive just fine.

I so agree I don't care... quite frankly I am sick and tired of hearing her whiney voice!
