One of every two households in Northeast Ohio owns a pet. The Humane Society of Greater Akron want to make the rest of us aware of the joys of pet ownership.

The Humane Society of Greater Akron services all of Summit County. There are two full-time
humane officers are on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year to assist with abandonment, cruelty,
neglect and injured strays.
The program is co-hosted by WONE Morning Personalities Tim Daugherty and Christi Nichols along with Billy Soule, assistant to the Mayor for Community Relations. The Telethon originates live at Canal Park/Akron Aeros Stadium.
